Pork Winter Melon Soup

  • 400g winter melon – skin & seeds removed, then cut into pcs
  • 1/2 c pearl barley – wash & drain well
  • 300g pork shin – blanch & wash
  • 4 pcs pork bones – blanch & wash
  • 2 sea conch – blanch & wash
  • 2-3 litres water
  • Salt to taste


Place all ingredients (except salt) into pot of water. Bring the pot to boil and simmer for 3 hours. Give the soup a good stir, remove any excess oil and then add salt to taste.
